Sketch-It 3.0 - Saving Files As

Saving Sketch Files As
The first time you save a file, Sketch-It provides the Save As option so you have the opportunity to change the name of the Work Surface Sketch to a name of your choice. You should also choose the Save As function any time that you want to change the name of the current Work Surface to a different name. When the sketch has been saved, the name of the file will appear as the last item on the Title Bar.

If you started Sketch-It from Appraise-It, then the first time the sketch is saved, Sketch-It suggests a default filename that matches the file number from the appraisal report. You should use this file name to maintain the linkage between Sketch-It and Appraise-It .

1. Select File then Save As from the Menu.
2. Note the Save As Dialog Box appears with the current path and filename highlighted.
3. Enter a new name to replace the current entry. You do not need to add the "SKT" extension, as Sketch-It automatically appends the extension to the name.

Please note: If you attempt to save a file that already exists with the Save As function, then you will receive an overwrite warning.

Saving Image Files As
Sketch-It provides a Save Image As menu choice so that you may save the white printable area of any sketch in BMP, PCX, TIFF, WMF, WPG, EPS or PICT file formats.

1. Have open the sketch which you wish to Save Image As a new file format.
2. Choose File from the main menu, then Save Image As.
3. Select the new file format.  The Save As Dialog Box appears.
4. Enter the file name, and choose OK.
