If you are attempting to insert a dollar sign in a price field but it is being removed when you leave the field, make sure you are on the latest version of Appraise-It. In Appraise-It 11.2.7 and above, the default formatting settings for these fields has been adjusted to prevent this from occuring.
If you're already on the latest version of Appraise-It but you are still experiencing this issue, you are probably working in a report or custom skeleton that was created prior to updating, and therefore the old incorrect formatting is still being applied.
1. Right-click in the affected field.
2. Go to Format ⇨ Rounding ⇨ None.
3. Repeat for all price fields where you need a dollar sign.
4. If this is a custom skeleton, go to File ⇨ Save as skeleton to resave.
You will now be able to enter a dollar sign in the appropriate field(s).
