Why is my lender rejecting my UAD report?

Your lender may reject your UAD XML with the following error: "Hard Stop 9001: Appraisal data in invalid format."

If your appraisal contains a property whose location includes a Water Front (WtrFr) description, take the following steps to resolve the issue:

1. Open the affected report and unsign it if necessary.
2. Navigate to your comp grid and find the Location field(s) that contains the WtrFr description. Click in the field to access to UAD Helper.
3. In the UAD Helper, change the dropdown selection from Water Front to Other.
4. Click in the Location Type Other Description field below the dropdown and enter "WtrFr" without the quotes.

WtrFr Location Type
5. Click Apply at the bottom of the UAD Helper.

You can now resign your report, save it, and resubmit it to your lender.

If your appraisal does not contain any references to Water Front in its location descriptions, your lender needs to contact UCDP (VEROS) for technical support. UCDP is the entity your lender is uploading your XML to; it stands for Uniform Collateral Data Portal. FNMA sent your lender a data packet with all the information they need to troubleshoot this issue.
