How do I manually load images into my report?

Appraise-It's Scanlink utility gives you three options for loading images into your report: loading an existing image file from your hard drive or memory card reader, acquiring an image from your scanner, or pasting a picture you have copied to your clipboard.

Scanlink supports JPG, BMP, GIF, WMF, PNG, and TIFF image files.

To Load an Image File
1. With your report open in Appraise-It, double-click in the blue image area where you'd like to load an image.
2. Scanlink will open. Click Browse.
3. In the Open dialog, navigate to your image file and select it, then click Open.
4. In the Scanlink window, you will see a preview of your image. Click OK.
5. The image will load into your report.

To Scan an Image
1. With your report open in Appraise-It, double-click in the blue image area where you'd like to load an image.
2. Scanlink will open. Click Acquire.
3. In the Select Source dialog, choose your scanner, then click Select. If it is listed more than once, choose the listing that references "TWAIN".
4. Your scanner's software will launch. The exact process will vary depending on scanner manufacturer and model. Use your scanner's software to acquire your image.
5. In the Scanlink window, you will see a preview of your image. Click OK.
6. The image will load into your report.
7. When you save your report, you may be prompted to save your image file. When presented with the Save As dialog, click Save. There is no need to change the file name.

To Paste a Copied Image
1. Copy an image. For example, you can right-click on images from web pages and select Copy Image.
2. With your report open in Appraise-It, double-click in the blue image area where you'd like to load an image.
3. Scanlink will open. Click Paste From Clipboard.
4. You will see a preview thumbnail of your image. Click OK.
5. The image will load into your report.
6. When you save your report, you may be prompted to save your image file. When presented with the Save As dialog, click Save. There is no need to change the file name.
